Immortal Soulhunters Guild Rules
Attendance:
- All members - you need to be ON TIME and READY TO GO at the appointed time for whatever function(s) you are attending. (This means you have all your gear repaired, all your potions and buff-food bought, and are ready for the first pull at the scheduled time. So log in early to ensure you're ready at the appropriate time.)
- If you have signed up for an event, you will be expected to attend the event in its entirety. Do not sign up for an event in another guild at the same time. Do not sign up for an event that that will be taking place during the time you'd normally be doing other things (class, work, family functions, etc.)
- If our scheduled event runs long, then you may leave to attend another event that was scheduled to begin after the scheduled end of our event.
- If a NON-SCHEDULED event pops up, you are expected to remain in our SCHEDULED event, even if our event is running long. (Out-of-game emergencies excepted.)
- If you are in a non-scheduled event with us, you may leave at any time, for any reason. We would, of course, prefer that you stay with us, if at all possible. But it will not be considered a violation of the rules to leave a non-scheduled event. (Non-scheduled means there was no Calendar sign-up available for the event, and it was a spontaneous gathering of guild members.) ***Please note - the present calendar of events does not support a signup feature at this time.
Guild Meetings:
- When officially in effect, officer meetings will be held the 2nd Wednesday of every
month at a time to be determined. Attendance by all officers is
MANDATORY. Any officer may call an "urgent" meeting at any time
for any reason. Officers will be notified by telephone of these "urgent"
meetings, and attendance is NOT mandatory (but highly recommended) due to the
un-scheduled nature of such "urgent" meetings. At this time there is no need for monthly meetings.
- Regular Guild meetings
for ALL MEMBERS will be held on the 3rd Wednesday of the every month at a time
to be determined. Attendance is STRONGLY
ENCOURAGED as this is your guild and your opinions are welcome to help move us
in a positive direction. At this time there is no need for monthly meetings.
Promotions: – all promotions above member level will
be discussed by existing officers before execution. Please inform the guildmaster
of any promotions you may apply.
- Members will be promoted occasionally,
these promotions will be based on longevity and guild participation. All
promotions will be discussed by existing officers before execution. Also,
all the member's toons will receive promotions
simultaneously -- we promote the people who play the toons,
not the toons themselves.
- Officer promotions – As we grow new officers will be
needed. Officer candidates will be nominated by an existing officer and voted
upon. Officers will be chosen based on Longevity, game knowledge, and guild
participation. Officer candidates must have achieved the highest
non-officer rank in the guild and be MAX level.
Member Invitations: - Discussion with Guild Master or Assistant Guild
Master is required prior to sending invitation out.
- All guild invitations will be discussed with the Guild Master or
Assistant Guild Master, this includes inviting
member alts. Invitations not discussed with the Guild Master or Assistant Guild
Master during or after invite are subject to reversal. Please let us know so we can personally welcome the new members.
Guild Member Conduct:
- All members will maintain reasonable courtesy when
dealing with other members and non guild members.
- The use of foul language on the TS server and guild chat
is highly discouraged. If you would not say it in front of your mother, sister,
spouse, child, it is not something that should be said on our public channels. (if you must, whisper or go to a
private channel)
- Public channels (team speak, and guild chat) are to be
used for fun related conversations and in game correspondence. We all have our
own personal views on topics such as politics, religion,…..
these topics are discouraged.
In Game:
- It is requested that members when logged in, use the TS
server when others are on.
- When questing in a group with other guild members it is
strongly recommended TS be used. Officers will have
the TS info and password and can invite non-guild players to use during these
quests/instances.
- Guild runs and instances – All members wanting to
participate in a guild instance or run will be required to run TS on their own
computer with their own headset. Runs will be getting much harder as we
progress into higher level dungeons and raids. Communication is a MUST.
Loot rules: (As needed)
- Our loot rules are simple: pass on BOP's, greed on BOE's. BOP's will be
given to the char with the most need when in as guild run. If two or more toons
need the BOP item, they will roll for it. If no one needs the BOP item,
it will sold and the proceeds will be placed in the
guild bank.
Guild Bank:
- The guild bank will contain communal property, please
feel free to use some items you may find useful. As this is communal
property if you are using some items from the bank please share items you
may feel will be useful by other members. Please do not use excessive
amounts of any one item type as we all may have a use for that item. Excessive withdrawals from
the guild bank may be addressed by having your access revoked
(demotion). Items in the guild bank will be used to craft items for
members if needed.
- Donations to the guild bank are appreciated, In game money
should be donated to the officers tab in the bank. The officers will
have access to withdraw for use in WvW for keep upgrades etc.
Guild Activity:
- All members must be active in the guild. This does not
mean participating in a guild function once or twice a month. (Vacations,
school schedules, and work schedules excepted -- although you should notify the
guild, as a common courtesy.) If you are leveling up a toon, and you do not have an active MAX Level toon in the guild,
you must make regular progress on your levels. (Bank-toons
excepted) Logging in once a month to play your
low-level toon for a couple of hours does not make you
an active member. Leaving the guild as soon as you reach MAX level
is highly discouraged as well -- you most likely received our help in
leveling up to MAX, it's time to give a little back to the guild.
We'll never make any progress towards end-game content, if all our MAX
level toons leave to join other guilds. If your toon is considered a member of
Immortal Soulhunters it is expected you represent the guild on that toon all of
the time. Guild sweeps will be done periodically. If you have not notified us of
an extended absense and you have not been on in a reasonable amount of
time, you may be removed from the roster.
Assistance:
- Any member may request assistance with any quest, and we will do
our best to help you. However, we are unable to power-level your toon for you. If you have tried a quest a few times,
and have failed each time, please ask another guild member for help. We
simply ask you to realize that the officers and other guild members have their
own toons, and they cannot spend all
of their time helping you gain levels or get better gear.
Add Ons: Note requirements for members to
download and install below.
Required for all:
- Team Speak - download the latest client for your OS at http://www.teamspeak.com.
This makes talking to your guild mates easier and more fun. (I hate typing while
in an instance.)
- Calendar (Ingame or on web page) - This can be found in the menu above or on the right side
of your screen.
All guild activities will be placed on the Calendar, so please check it
regularly.
Members:
As a full member of
Immortal Soulhunters, you are allowed to receive an Immortal Soulhunters
e-mail address Yourname@Immortal-Soulhunters.com.
This is an e-mail forward only and will be forwarded to an e-mail
account of your choosing. If you would like to get your e-mail address
send a request to
Feathersong@Immortal-Soulhunters.com. Please include the name by
which you would like to be known and the e-mail account where it should
be forwarded. This forward will be removed if you leave Immortal
Soulhunters.
Officers:
- Officers are held
to a slightly higher standard than traditional members. It is expected
that officers are on TS when logged into the
game (even if they are only on for a few minutes) as
questions/invites/disputes can arise at any time which only officers can
resolve. It is expected that your attendance consists beyond 2 days per
week. Officers should moderate the TS channel of foul language and
inappropriate topics. Officers may occasionally switch guild representation for special functions of other guilds
and this in encouraged especially when interacting within our guild alliances. You must also understand that you
are an authoritative leader and should consider Immortal Soulhunters to be your primary guild of representation.
Officers should conduct themselves with dignity, patience, and understanding when dealing with other players and guild members.
Negativity when performing runs will not keep the respect you have earned.
Crime and Punishment: :)
- If any guild member has a complaint about another member,
they must discuss it PRIVATELY with an officer. If an officer is not
available, please send an in-game e-mail to an officer or the Guild
Master. If an officer witnesses an offense, an informal warning may be
given (on TeamSpeak in the officers' channel, or via
in-game whisper). It is our goal to AVOID public humiliation of an offending
member, so all communications of this nature will be handled PRIVATELY.
DO NOT make a scene in the guild chat or on TeamSpeak.
Doing so will be considered a violation.
- If, in the opinion of an officer, a serious violation of
the rules has occurred, a meeting will be called to decide upon any formal
punishments to be delivered. If the regular officers' meeting will
suffice, a special meeting needn't be called. A majority of the officers
must vote in favor of the punishment before rendering any judgment. A tie
vote will be broken by the Guild Master. The vote will NOT be made
public.
- A formal warning will be given to a member for
their first violation of the rules. (A simple verbal warning by an
officer does NOT count as a formal warning -- all formal
warnings/demotions/dismissals can only be issued after a meeting of all the
officers, as described in Paragraph B of this section.) A formal warning
will NOT be made public.
- The second (and subsequent) violation(s) will
result in demotion of all the member's toons.
(There is no way to prevent this from becoming public knowledge -- the other
members will see that you've lost your rank, although the reason why will not
be made public.) Each subsequent violation will result in
another demotion. If the offending member's toons
are already the lowest available rank in the guild, the member will be put on
probation for one month. Another violation of the rules during the
probationary period will result in dismissal from the guild. Probation
will be removed automatically after one month, and the member can then begin to
regain their rank(s), if any, through continued fair and responsible behavior. There are
three exceptions: deliberately (not accidentally) stealing loot from a party,
stealing from the guild bank, and any behavior that causes the game manufacturer to suspend
your account for more than 24 hours. These will each result in immediate
dismissal from the guild.
- Leaving guild without any penalty requires notifying the
Guild Master and/or Assistant Guild Master verbally prior to leaving, e-mails
are not appropriate. If you do not notify the Guild Master or Assistant Guild
Master prior to leaving, all your toons will be
subject to demotion to lost soul and you will have to regain you status with
the guild. There will be a 30 waiting period to rejoin the guild and
rejoining must be approved by all of the officers.
